Canine Legacy Breeder App — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026. This policy covers the Canine Legacy Breeder App for Android and Windows, made by G. Thompson / Niagara Indie Apps. It applies to both editions: the one on Google Play and the one downloaded from niagaraindieapps.com. The app does not need an account, and none of its record-keeping features need an internet connection.

Your dogs, pedigrees, health records, DNA test results, temperament and welfare notes, breeding and pregnancy records, litters, puppies, buyers, payments, expenses, contracts, documents, tasks, kennel profile and settings are stored only on your device. Photos you add are copied into the app's private storage on your device. The app does not upload any of this anywhere.

The Canine Legacy Breeder App contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, and no location tracking. It does not read your contacts or use your microphone. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to add a photo of a dog.

Backups, data exports and PDF reports or contracts are created only when you ask for them, and are saved or shared to the place you choose. They can contain your records, including buyer contact details, so keep them somewhere safe.

The edition downloaded from niagaraindieapps.com includes a free 3-day trial of the complete app. To run it, the app stores the time you first opened it, plus a random ID it creates when installed, in your device's secure storage. That ID is not a hardware or advertising ID.

After the trial, the website edition is unlocked with a license bought on this website. When you activate a license, the app sends the following to our license server at niagaraindieapps.com: • your license key • this app's ID • the random device ID described above • the platform (Android or Windows) and the app version When the app later re-checks the license while online, or when you remove a device, it sends only your license key and that device ID. Our server stores a one-way hash of the device ID, the platform, the app version, and when the device was activated and last checked. It also records the IP address of each license request in a license activity log. We use this only to verify your license, enforce its limit of 2 devices, and prevent license abuse. Your dogs, health records, breeding records and other kennel data are never sent.

The Google Play edition is free, with an optional one-time lifetime upgrade bought through Google Play Billing. Google processes that payment under its own privacy policy; the app only learns whether the upgrade has been bought. This edition never contacts our servers and we never receive your payment details.

Website licenses are bought on niagaraindieapps.com. The information you give at checkout (such as your email address) is covered by the site-wide Privacy Policy at niagaraindieapps.com/privacy. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive your full card number.

You can delete all of your records at any time in the app under Settings → Manage data → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also deletes the data it stored on your device. To free a device from your license, use Settings → Lifetime licence → Deactivate on this device in the app, or niagaraindieapps.com/license/manage. To ask us to delete the license records we hold, contact us as described below.

The Canine Legacy Breeder App is a record-keeping tool for adult dog breeders and is not directed at children.

If a future version of the Canine Legacy Breeder App changes how it handles data, we will update this page before that version is released.
