Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Niagara Inde Apps handles personal information on niagaraindieapps.com: when you browse the site, contact us, buy a license, or activate a license in one of our apps. Niagara Inde Apps is an independent software business based in Niagara, Ontario, Canada. Each app also has its own privacy policy, linked from its app page, which describes what that app does on your device.

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject, the app your message is about (if you choose one), and your message. • Checkout: your name, email address, company name (optional), billing address, city, province or state, postal code, and country, plus what you bought, the price, the tax, and the language you were using on the site. • My Downloads and license management: your email address, so we can send you a link or a one-time verification code.

Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's secure checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. Stripe tells us whether the payment succeeded and gives us transaction references, which we keep with your order. Stripe's handling of your information is covered by Stripe's own privacy policy.

When you buy a license, we store the license key (encrypted), your name and email address, what you bought, the price paid, and the purchase date. When you activate the license in one of our apps, the app sends us your license key, the app's ID, a random device ID created by the app, the platform (Android or Windows), and the app version. We store a one-way hash of that device ID, the platform, the app version, and when the device was activated and last checked. We also record the IP address of each license request in a license activity log. We use this to verify licenses, enforce each license's device limit, and prevent license abuse.

Like most websites, our servers record technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, your browser type, and the page requested, for security and troubleshooting. We also record the IP address that sent each contact-form message. The site uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie, and a security token that protects its forms. If you choose a language, a cookie remembers that choice for up to one year.

The site has no advertising, no analytics service, and no third-party tracking scripts or social-media plugins. Its own fonts and files are served from niagaraindieapps.com. The app demos run in your browser and keep anything you enter in your browser's own storage. Like other web apps built with Flutter, a demo may load font files from Google's font servers to display text.

We use the information above to: • complete your order and email you your receipt and license key • issue, verify, and manage licenses and downloads • answer your messages and support requests • calculate sales tax and keep business and tax records • protect the site and prevent fraud and license abuse We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not send marketing email.

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the site: • Stripe, which processes payments • our web hosting provider, which stores the site and its database • the email service that delivers our receipts, license keys, verification codes, and replies We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We keep order, payment, and license records for as long as your license can be used, and for as long as we need them for tax and accounting records. We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to help you and for our records.

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us as described below. We may need to keep some order records where tax or accounting rules require it. You can see and remove the devices activated on your license at niagaraindieapps.com/license/manage.

The site is served only over HTTPS. License keys are stored encrypted, and device IDs are stored only as one-way hashes. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
